A recent letter to the editor not only defended ACORN but also called for an apology from the Minnesota U.S. senators and representatives who voted to defund the organization.

The writer pronounced ACORN as an American treasure and democracy in its purest form. Really? Apparently the states that have filed voter registration fraud charges or are conducting investigations into ACORN’s activities are an inconvenient truth.

If an apology is to be given, it should come from Reps. Betty McCollum and Keith Ellison, who voted to continue funding this corrupt organization.
