Tiger girls’ hockey snaps four-game losing streak

The Albert Lea girls’ hockey team snapped a four-game losing streak with a 9-1 rout of Waseca Monday at City Arena.

The Tigers (8-12-1) won for the second time in eight games and it came with two regular season games left.

“The girls played well,” said Albert Lea head coach Brian Blatti. “It was nice to get a win for them as they head into sections.”

Eighth-grader Anna Anderson scored three goals and the Tigers outshot Waseca 82 to 15.

Lauren Klick scored twice and finished with three points and Sophie Jepson had three points.
