Memorial services for Ernesto Hernandez of Albert Lea will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at St. Theodore Catholic Church. The Rev. James Berning and Deacon Mike Ellis will officiate. Friends may meet the family one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will be in St. Theodore Cemetery.
Ernesto died at his home on Thursday, March 4, 2010. He was 54.
He was born on May 7, 1955, in Cuba, the son of Ernesto and Irene (Rodriguez) Hernandez.
An Albert Lea resident most of his life, he was a member of St. Theodore Catholic Church.
He had been employed at Cummins Filtration in Lake Mills, Iowa since 1984.
He is survived by his wife, Lucina, of Albert Lea; mother, Irene Hernandez of Cuba; children: Irene (Dante) Lopez, Gabriela Zamora, Enrique Hernandez and Jennifer Hernandez, all of Albert Lea; grandchildren Jazmin, Dante, Diego, Jessenia, Janessa, Miguel and YonCarlos; brothers Luis (Marie) Hernandez of Albert Lea, Enrique Hernandez of Minneapolis and Hector Martinez of Albert Lea.
He was preceded in death by his father.
