Farmers market to hold annual meeting Tuesday

The Albert Lea Farmers Market will hold its annual meeting Tuesday, March 23, at 6:30, at the Albert Lea American Legion.
The local farmers market is a no-profit group that supports and assists local producers in marketing their products more efficiently and profitably and provides customers with fresher, tastier and healthier products. People can sell vegetables, fruits, baked goods, eggs, jams and jellies, bedding plants, flowers, local crafts and meats (according to state regulations).These items all need to be produced or made by the seller.
The market is open from mid-May through October, each Wednesday from 4 to 6 p.m. and Saturday from 9 a.m. until noon. The market is located in the municipal parking lot on North Broadway Avenue and Fountain Street.
