A woman has been charged with assault for allegedly setting a man on fire at a Robbinsdale apartment.

Authorities charged 38-year-old Tanisha Willis on Friday.

Police went to an apartment Wednesday night to find a man lying naked on a bed, badly burned and asking for help.

According to the criminal complaint, police found Willis outside with two lighters. The victim said she doused him with rubbing alcohol and set him on fire.

Willis allegedly told police she and the man had been drinking and the man struck out at her and spilled rubbing alcohol on himself. The complaint says she told police she was joking when she flicked a lighter at the man.

Police say the man will be hospitalized for weeks as he recovers from burns.
