Palmer Hanson, 81

The funeral service for Palmer J. Hanson of Hartland will be 3 p.m. on Thursday at Cross of Glory Lutheran Church, Hartland. The Rev. Dennis Frank will officiate. Interment will be in the Hartland Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour before the service at the church. Friedrich Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Palmer died Saturday, March 6, 2010, at the New Richland Care Center. He was 81 years old.
Palmer was born Sept. 13, 1928, in Hartland Township near Hartland to Harold and Clara O. (Halvorson) Hanson. He has lived in Hartland since 1940. Palmer was a member of Cross Of Glory Lutheran Church. He farmed and did custom chain sawing. Palmer enjoyed roller skating and flying planes.
Palmer is survived by his brothers: Walter Hanson of New Richland and Roger Hanson of Connecticut; sister, Edna Omoth, and her husband, Marlin, of Spring Grove; sisters-in-law: Theresa Hanson of Albert Lea, Virginia Hanson of Albert Lea and Peggy Hanson of New York; 12 nieces and nephews.
Palmer is preceded in death by his parents: Harold and Clara Hanson; brothers: Arnold, Carl and Curtis Hanson; infant sister, Leona Mae; and sister and brother-in-law: Gladys and Ernest Eblen.
