United South Central senior A.J. Dreyer capped his season off with a fifth-place finish Saturday at the Class A state tournament at the Xcel Energy Center in St. Paul.
Dreyer (28-6) won a 2-0 decision against Eden Valley-Watkins’ Joe Holdvogt in the fifth-place match to improve upon his sixth-place finish from a year ago.
Dreyer, ranked third at 215, got a take down in the first period and rode Holdvogt out for the final two periods to end his career with a victory.
