Timothy Walter Lenze, Albert Lea, was injured when he reportedly jumped out of his moving car while being pursued by a Worth County, Iowa, deputy sheriff on April 18.

Lenze was reportedly traveling faster than the posted speed limit on a roadway about a mile south of the state line near U.S. Highway 65 and 500th Avenue. As the deputy chased the Lenze vehicle, it went off the roadway into a field. Lenze was located in this field. It was determined, according to a sheriff’s office report, that he jumped out of the moving vehicle and was injured as a result. Lenze was air lifted to Mercy Hospital in Mason City, Iowa.
