Naeve Health Care Foundation makes donation toward ‘Project Pink’

Since 1963, Naeve Health Care Foundation has been supporting Albert Lea Medical Center — part of Mayo Health System —with an annual gift. This year’s gift of $196,469 has been directed toward “Project Pink,” NHCF and ALMC’s endeavor to purchase new mammography equipment for the medical center.

NHCF wants to ensure patients continue to have local access to the latest technology in breast cancer prevention and treatment. The foundation’s gift will help cover half the cost of the equipment. To help raise the remainder, the foundation and ALMC are challenging the community to match the foundation’s gift through “Project Pink.”

Over the years, the foundation’s gifts have provided ALMC with an ambulance, EKG machines, cardiac monitors, patient exam tables and lab equipment.
