On behalf of Jon Weiland, our family would like to thank the newspaper for reporting and printing the story last Sunday of Jon’s disappearance. Because of this story, Rose Villela was very mindful of seeing a little bit of red color among those trees and she acted out of the goodness of her heart and investigated it. Thank God she did.

We are very grateful for her keen eye and the curiosity to see for herself just what that hint of red color actually was in the thick bunch of trees. I hope I get the chance to thank her and her son in person for being ever so watchful. Our family is now able to move forward and put Jon to rest. Thank you to everyone in the area who may have looked at your surroundings just a little bit closer in hopes of finding Jon. We are forever thankful.
