Albert Lea gets an F on evacuation

I was in Albert Lea last Saturday night. I was at a bar when I heard they were evacuating half the city due to a truck rolled over on Interstate 35. My kids were at their grandfathers sleeping in the area where the evacuation was occurring. When we arrived, my father-in-law didn’t believe there was a situation. I saw cops everywhere when I was there, but none could be seen from his house. He asked, why wasn’t there an alarm? Why no sirens? And when he turned on the radio nothing there either. Albert Lea dropped the ball. They should have sounded out the siren, then broadcasted it on radio. What was goin on? That’s a lot quicker than cops going door to door. I sure hope Albert Lea looks at how they handled this situation and realize they got an F and come up with a better protocol.
