The Albert Lea Grizzlies scored another home victory Saturday at Brookside Field in Albert Lea with a thrilling fourth quarter drive.

Grizzlies quarterback Tony Tolbers found Hector Rivera in the end zone in the waning minutes to give Albert Lea the go-ahead touchdown in its 35-30 victory over the Dakota Doom.

The Grizzlies ran a play-action fake with George Gerdes coming out of the slot for the fake handoff and it allowed Tolbers time to find Rivera in the end zone.

The Grizzlies took an early lead, but the Doom rallied to take the lead late.

“We’ve got some secondary issues we gotta hammer out this week, obviously,” said Albert Lea head coach Steven Piper.
