Albert Lea lakes have potential

Once again, I have found myself saddened to see Styrofoam plates, plastic bags, bottles, and other debris floating in our lake and lying on the shoreline. Albert Lea is known as the Land Between the Lakes, and we all know the potential and beauty found in our lakes, parks, and waterways. In the small amount of time that I spent there, I saw six bags of garbage that did not belong there; I find it quite discerning that even in today’s age of awareness, we still have this large amount of trash along the shorelines of lakes and streams. We can do better. Please throw your trash in the trash cans, and let’s try to keep these areas cleaner then how we found them. I know we can do this individually and as a community. Thank you.
