The Fountain Lake Sportsmen’s Club reports that a big name in Midwestern fishing is coming to Albert Lea and the club seeks the advice of local fishermen.

Dave Villarreal of the Fountain Lake Sportsmen’s Club said Bob Jensen of the TV show “Fishing the Midwest with Bob Jensen” — seen in Minnesota on Fox Sports North at 11 a.m. Saturdays — is coming to fish Albert Lea Lake and Fountain Lake.

“We want him to catch a fish,” Villarreal said.

To make sure that happens, the club wants the assistance of locals who know where the good fishing spots are at. He said the exposure on the show will be good for fishing in the Albert Lea area. The more people want to fish Freeborn County lakes, the more the state has an interest in keeping them productive.

The date of Jensen’s visit is undetermined.
