first-degree criminal sexual conduct, involving penetration or contact, with a child between March 2004 and November 2005

second-degree criminal sexual conduct with a child between March 2008 and March 2009

second-degree criminal sexual conduct with a teenager between November 2005 and March 2008

According to court papers, detective Frank Kohl interviewed the girls who were allegedly assaulted in March of 2009. They described multiple instances of alleged sexual contact, including intercourse, with Camerer.

Camerer spoke with authorities on May 12 about the allegations, at which time he “stated no admissions of having contact or sexual intercourse … and did not know why they would say that he had had sexual contact and sexual intercourse with them,” according to the report.

Freeborn County District Court Judge Steve Schwab on Friday set Camerer’s unconditional bail at $150,000 and his conditional bail at $15,000.

Camerer’s file indicated a non-cash bond was posted.

He is next scheduled to appear in court on May 24.

First-degree criminal sexual conduct carries a maximum penalty of 30 years in prison and a $40,000 fine. Second-degree criminal sexual conduct carries a maximum penalty of 25 years in prison and a $35,000 fine.
