Firefighters battle blaze near Hibbing

Outside of Hibbing, a small army of yellow shirted firefighters is attacking yet another northern Minnesota wildfire — a 35-acre blaze that exploded in grass and trees north of Hibbing last Wednesday afternoon. 

 Aided by pilots hired by the state Department of Natural Resources, teams of firefighters scoured the ground. The fires had Chisholm volunteer fire Captain Larry Pervenanze out of breath as he dragged a heavy hose back to his wildland fire truck.
