Harley Jensen, 78

The funeral service for Harley F. Jensen will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Community Lutheran Church, Geneva. The Rev. Carrie McElfresh will officiate. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Bonnerup Funeral Service, Albert Lea and one hour before service at the church.
Harley died Saturday, May 1, 2010, at Good Samaritan Center, Albert Lea. He was 78 years old.
Harley was born in Freeborn County on Aug. 19, 1931, the son of Arthur C. and Delora (Allis) Jensen. He lived in Geneva most of his life and was a member of the Community Lutheran Church. Harley had farmed with his father and always enjoyed being able to help other farmers driving tractor when they needed help. He enjoyed horses, bicycling, painting by number, plowing gardens and snow plowing with his tractor.
Harley is survived by his brothers: Donald A. (Geojean) Jensen of Bonita, Calif., George W. (Val) Jensen of San Jose, Calif., and John M. (Bernice) Jensen; sisters: Mary (Chuck) Harty of Albert Lea, Kathleen (Ernie) Halvorson of Albert Lea andShirley (Duane) Johnson of Austin; sister-in-law, Sarah (Kenneth) Anderson, of Albert Lea; many nieces and nephews and great- nieces and nephews.
Harley was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Dale; and niece, Susan Wrolson.
