A free program, “Health, Heart and Diabetes: Let’s Work Together,” is scheduled for 6:30 to 8 p.m. Monday, May 10, at HealthReach, 1705 S.E. Broadway, Albert Lea.

Sponsored by Albert Lea Medical Center — part of Mayo Health System — and District 241, the session will be presented by Cathy Klick, R.N., nurse practitioner, cardiology, and ALMC’s diabetes educators.

Klick will be discussing how diabetes affects the heart and its impact on the overall health of the cardiovascular system. She will discuss lipid control and how lifestyle changes can make a difference.
