The Lake Mills, Iowa, Therapy Center will host a 5K walk/run on Saturday, June 5. Advance registration is recommended, but people can also register the day of the race at 7:15 a.m. The walk/run will begin at 8 a.m.

This event is an effort to keep our community on the move and promote healthy living. “We would like to see all age groups get involved in this community event,” said Elaine Helgeson, Lake Mills Care Center administrator.

Activities following the walk/run will include prizes for winners in each age category, tours of the newly updated therapy center and a free lunch on the front lawn of the Lake Mills Care Center.

Prizes will be awarded to winners in each category. Age groups include: 12 and under; 13-18; 19-29; 30-39; 40-49; 50-59; 60 and above.

“We are looking forward to giving tours after the race of our therapy center which we are currently updating and remodeling,” Helgeson said. “This will be a great opportunity for community members and visitors to see what we have to offer and to also check out the new updates.”
