Northwood-Kensett’s Hartman misses state cut by one stroke

Northwood-Kensett senior Kate Hartman saw her attempt to reach the girls’ state golf tournament come up just short Monday at the regional meet in Wapsie Valley.

Hartman missed the cut by one stroke following her round of 93 and sixth-place finish.

Wapsie Valley’s Amber Suhr shot 92 to edge Hartman out.

Central City’s Christy Nelson won the meet with an 80 while AGWSR’s Katie Schachterle and Central Elkader’s Jenna Koehn each shot 89 to tie for second. The top five individuals advanced to the state meet.
