Carlos B. Caballero Jr., 79, of Wichita Falls, Texas, died Thursday, June 3, 2010.
A memorial service will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, July 3, at St. Theodore Catholic Church, Albert Lea, with viewal one hour before the service. The Rev. Jim Berning and Deacon Mike Ellis will officiate.
A son of Florentina (Beltran) and the late Carlos M Caballero Sr., Caballero was born May 29, 1931, in Wichita Falls. In 1949, he married Betty Zamora in Henrietta.  Mr. Caballero proudly served our country in the United States Army Reserves. He farmed for most of his life and was a long time parishioner of St. Theodore Catholic Church in Albert Lea and a parishioner of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Danny Caballero; sister, Angie Chavez; son, Carlos Caballero, III; daughter, Lucy Caballero; and grandson, Joseph Caballero.
Survivors include his wife, Betty Caballero of Wichita Falls; children, Betty Lou Velasquez and husband, Raymond; Sally Martinez and husband, Jose; Albert Caballero and wife, Barbara; Danny Caballero and wife, Maria; Raymond Caballero; Yolanda Garza and friend, Jim Grund; and Michael Caballero and wife, Becky; 29 grandchildren; and 31 great-grandchildren; sisters, Frances Chavez, Victoria Caballero and Mary Rodriguez; brother, Lupe Caballero; also many nieces, nephews and extended family.
Serving as pallbearers will be his grandsons, Raymond Velasquez Jr., Rolando Perez Jr., Christopher Perez, Jamie Caballero, Julian Garza Jr. and Jose Martinez Jr.
