The Albert Lea Grizzlies beat the Dakota Doom 31-12 Saturday, finishing tied for first in the Southern Plains Football League and earning a two seed in the playoffs.

Quarterback Tyler Kibbee led the Grizzlies, passing for 137 yards with three touchdowns and two interceptions.

Hector Rivera had seven receptions for 80 yards and three touchdowns and Tyler Bass led the defense with 11 tackes, two sacks, a fumble recovery for a touchdown and an interception.

The Grizzlies playoff opener is at Brookside Field, Saturday at 6 p.m. at the South Central Hawgs.

Albert Lea will play the winner of the Buffalo Ridge Wildcats and Dakota Doom for the SPFL championship.
