Jackson man is charged in his brother’s stabbing death

A Jackson man is charged with fatally stabbing his brother at a nursing home in southwestern Minnesota.
Assistant Jackson County Attorney Sherry Haley said 38-year-old Tyron Collins wa charged with second-degree murder.
Bail for Collins was set at $2 million without conditions, $1 million with conditions. Collins remained in jail and is due back in court Monday.
Collins is accused of stabbing his 37-year-old brother, Kenneth Collins Jr. of Fulda, during an altercation Thursday at Colonial Manor nursing home in Lakefield. Kenneth Collins worked at the nursing home and was pronounced dead at a hospital. No nursing home residents or other staff were injured.
Tyron Collins was arrested after crashing into a ditch during a police chase. He was treated at a hospital, then taken to jail.
