Mabel Arneson, 83

Funeral services for Mabel Marjorie Arneson, 83, of Albert Lea, will be held at 1:30 p.m. Friday at the Bayview/Freeborn Funeral Home chapel. The Rev. Daniel Baker will officiate. Interment will be in Graceland Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.
Mabel died Monday, June 7, 2010, at St. John’s Lutheran Home.
Mabel Marjorie Arneson was born on April 20, 1927, to Engel and Olga (Sletten) Brigston in Duluth. She grew up in Emmons and attended country school. On July 17, 1945, Mabel was united in marriage to Theodore Arneson at the First Lutheran Church Chapel in Albert Lea. She worked at several different restaurants in town. Mabel worked at the B & B Café for 25 years as a waitress and cook. She was a member of First Lutheran Church and the Albert Lea Senior Citizens. Mabel enjoyed cooking, bingo, going to and having garage sales. She loved family get-togethers, especially picnics.
Survivors include her nieces: Caren Minn and Shelly McNab both of Sioux Falls, S.D.; nephews: Dennis Nath of Mitchell, S.D., and Ronald Gonzalez of Albert Lea; cousin, Marjorie Lau of Albert Lea; close friend, Gloria Hautt of Albert Lea; and many more nieces, nephews and cousins.
Mabel was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Theodore; daughter, Laura; brother, Harry Brigston and sister, Doris (Henry) Nath.
