West Fork’s Hailey Duff grounded into a fielders choice to score Bayley Fleshner in the top of the fourth to take a 1-0 lead over the Lake Mills softball team before the game was delayed due to rain.

Both teams had opportunities to put runs on the board but failed.

In the bottom of the first, Lake Mills loaded the bases up before the Warhawk’s Kayrene Stadtlander struckout Randi Dilly and Darcy Nelson to end the Bulldog threat.

West Fork then had a bases-loaded opportunity in the top half of the second inning with Maci Robeoltman on third, Bayley Fleshner on second and Hailey Duff on first.

Lake Mills’ Josie Brackey ended the threat when she got West Fork’s Kayrene Stadtlander to go down swinging to end the top of the second.

Brackey pitched 4 innings and allowed four hits and struck out three.

Lake Mills plays Saint Ansgar on Thursday in Lake Mills.
