Worth County Fair is this weekend

Published 9:25 am Wednesday, June 23, 2010

The Worth County Fair started Tuesday with 4-H judging in Northwood, Iowa. In past years judging has been done on Wednesday, but a day was added this year to get the judging out of the way before all the shows start on Wednesday.

New to the fair is the Chipppewa Valley Rides carnival. Wristbands for the rides are $25 which is good for Thursday and Friday night and Saturday and Sunday afternoon. Ten-dollar buttons are needed to get into the fair, but they are valid for all the days of the fair after one is purchased.

Also, a few buildings at the fair have been remodeled. A chainsaw carver will be at the fair on Thursday, Friday and Saturday. There will also be free caricatures available on Saturday and Sunday.
