The United South Central Legion baseball team mustered just five hits in a 13-0 loss to Dilworth Friday, in the first-round of the District 2 American Legion State Baseball Tournament in Dilworth.

Starting pitcher Nick Fure picked up the loss, in a game that Dilworth hit two three-run home runs and one two-run homer.

Dustin Dylla led the offense with two hits. Alex Dreyer, Anthony Stenzel and Spencer Neibhur each scattered one hit.

“We’re having fun,” USC head coach Pat Frank said. “It’s a good experience for the kids to come up and play the best teams in the state. That’s what it’s all about.”
