The Freemond Madson Auxiliary to Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 447 met June 14at the American Legion hall with President Eunice Hatleli presiding.

The charter was draped in memory for sister Ida Satre and Post Department District President Ione Carlsen, formerly of Blooming Prairire.

Hatleli thanked all who helped with the Memorial Day events.

The VFW national convention will be held in Indianapolis, Ind., the week of Aug. 23.

The main discussioin was of the cookie bake the auxiliary does to help REACT for the Interstate 35 welcome center safety break. Members did this June 30 at the Moose Club.

Beverly Boone received the door prize. Marcia Petersen served.

The next meeting will be Monday, July 12, at 7 p.m. at the Legion Hall.
