Woodside scores 11 points in Summer League opener
Ben Woodside scored 11 points and had three assists and three rebounds for Golden State Friday in a 77-76 win over Charlotte.
Woodside started at point guard and played 22 minutes for the Warriors.
Woodside was also featured Friday in a column titled “What To Watch For in Vegas” by Kevin Arnovitz on ESPN.com.
He was among eight listed as “the most intriguing players in Vegas Summer League.”
Arnovitz wrote, “The little guard from North Dakota State was one of those kids everyone in Cox Pavilion was rooting for last summer when he split time at the point with Jonny Flynn. Woodside had a very nice season in the French League for BCM Gravelines, earning an All-Star bid.”
The Warriors play again tonight at 5 p.m. against the Washington Wizards.
