The 2010-11 program for the Hartland Lutheran Pioneers youth group will begin Thursday, Sept. 9, at 6 p.m. to 8:15 p.m. It will start at the Hartland Lutheran Church located at the south end of the main street in Hartland. On Sept. 9 we will travel to Arrowhead Park near Freeborn for an outing with a hot dog and marshmallow roast. Parents and siblings are invited. Usual meetings are held twice a month on the second and fourth Thursdays from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. The program is for any child in grades 1 through 8 and for grades 9 through 12 as Junior Leaders. Lutheran Pioneers is a Christ-centered program which teaches life skills along with Christian morals and faith in a fun and enjoyable way. There are several activities during the year including a trip to “The Barn,” swimming, a pine car derby and a summer campout. Any child of the area is eligible and urged to join! The program itself is free of charge. Activity costs are very minimal and can be confidentially eliminated if there is a problem for the family. To join, just show up at the first meeting or call 845-2218 or 507-383-2009.
