MINNEAPOLIS — Joe Mauer is out of the Twins lineup today against the Seattle Mariners after receiving a cortisone shot in his aching right shoulder.

Starting in his place is Drew Butera, who is batting .192 in 25 games this season and has no at bats against the Mariners.

Also out of the lineup today is Justin Morneau, who is still recovering from a concussion, Orlando Hudson, who was placed on the 15-day disabled list in June and Jim Thome.

Jason Repko is getting the start in right field and Jason Kubel will DH.
