Area students receive scholarship

South Central College’s North Mankato Campus Foundation provided over $178,000 in scholarships to 234 freshmen and sophomore students during the college’s annual Scholarship Awards Ceremony held on Tuesday, Aug. 31, 2010. To qualify, students must have maintained a 3.75 or greater GPA while demonstrating strong leadership skills.
The following area students received scholarships:
Emily Reyerson, of Alden, received the Volunteer Hall of Fame — JO Guck Bailey scholarship for $500. She is majoring in commercial and technical art.
Jennifer Johnson, of New Richland, received the Mankato Clinic scholarship for $500. She is in school to become an intensive care paramedic technician.
William Huper, of Wells, received the SCC North Mankato Campus Foundation schoarship for $500 and Jones Page Jacobson Family Foundation scholarship for $1,000. He is majoring in agribusiness production.
Jordan Janzig, of Wells, received the Krost scholarship for $500. He is majoring in agribusiness production.
Alissa Vee, of Wells, received the SCC North Mankato Campus Foundation scholarship for $500. She is majoring in child development careers.
