The Albert Lea City Council had a closed meeting Thursday with lawyer Frank Madden of Frank Madden & Associates of Plymouth regarding potential litigation against City Manager Jim Norman.

Albert Lea Mayor Mike Murtaugh said the meeting was closed to allow time for the council to meet with the city’s lawyer as part of an attorney-client privilege.

No other information about the meeting was released.
