A town hall meeting with state Rep. Randy Demmer, Republican candidate for the 1st Congressional District, will be held at the Northbridge Mall in the former Hallmark location at 4 p.m. Friday. Demmer, of Hayfield, will address such issues as how to invigorate the economy, how to increase jobs and reduce unemployment, what to do about the recent federal health care legislation, the need to reduce the U.S. debt, American energy policy and environmental issues.
A second town hall meeting with Demmer will take place at Bob Hanson Park in Clarks Grove, at the corner of Independence Avenue and Main Street, at 6:30 p.m. Friday with a light supper available. The meeting will be at an alternate site in the case of inclement weather.
Al Arends, chairman of the Freeborn County Republican Party, urges voters to take this opportunity to meet Randy Demmer personally.
Rich Murray, candidate for House District 27A, and Kathy Green, candidate for Senate District 27, will be present to answer questions and welcome ideas.
