Roberta (Bobbi) Jarel, 78, died peacefully in her sleep at home in Albert Lea on Sept. 5, 2010. She was the daughter of Helen Marie Wendel and Gerald Edmund Mittelstadt of Worthington.

Jarel is survived by brothers: Gerald (Adelle) and Dennis (Judy) Mittelstadt; children: Jennifer Crystal and John Jarel; grandchildren: Jessica, Yolande and Kathryn Herting.

Bobbi married Conrad Jarel on Dec. 24, 1955. She enjoyed life in many ways with creatures great and small. She was a member of the Freeborn County Kennel Club, North Star Newfoundland Club and the Newfoundland Club of America. She left Worthington to go to the Minnesota School of Business in Minneapolis. She spent her early years waitressing at the Roaring Twenties and the Gay 90’s. She moved on to Shamrock Plastics in Minneapolis. Her last employment was with Bob and Mary Price at Rolling Green Farms as a Kennel and Farm Manager, a job that was not just a job, but a passion.
