Vikings still winless after 28-13 loss to Bishop-Garrigan

Looking for their first win of the season, The Northwood-Kensett football team traveled to Algona on Friday night to take on Bishop Garrigan.

Bishop Garrigan jumped out to a 14-0 lead and went on to defeat the Vikings 28-13.

Northwood-Kensett wouldn’t get on the board until the fourth quarter when Spencer Capitani ran a punt back 62 yards for a touchdown.

Dylan Nitcher had the other score for the Vikings as he scored on a two-yard touchdown run.

Bishop Garrigan gained 317 total yards on offense, while the Vikings racked up 295 yards of offense with 258 of those yards coming on the ground.

Nitcher led Northwood-Kensett in rushing with 12 attempts for 90 yards and a touchdown, while Capitani rushed 15 times for 82 yards.

Spencer Capitani also went 2-for-9 passing for 37 yards.

Torin Newell had an interception on defense for the Vikings.

Northwood-Kensett is back in action on Friday against West Hancock in Northwood.
