Don’t be fooled by attack literature

Yesterday I got my third piece of literature in the mail criticizing Robin Brown. Maybe some of you got them too. They attacked her and her votes over the past few years. One piece tried to scare me into thinking that she does not support our senior citizens. Hogwash!
I know Robin Brown. She is a hard-working teacher whose only concerns are the concerns of the people in her district. It is amazing to me that Republicans who fought Social Security back in the 1930s, and even now are dreaming up ways to privatize it, try to present themselves as the protectors of senior citizens.
Don’t be fooled. It is the Democrats who established Social Security, and they are the ones who protect it now.
It is the Republicans who will try to protect the wealthy from paying their fair share by refusing to raise tax rates on the rich, and try to pass that tax burden on to homeowners and others through property tax increases, increased sales taxes and user fees.
I believe in the Democrats. I’ll be voting for them because they will look out for what is best for me, my family, and the people of Minnesota. Vote Brown, Dan Sparks, Tim Walz and Mark Dayton on Tuesday.
