Harig deserves to be re-elected

Some people may not realize that Sheriff Mark Harig has helped save the taxpayers of Freeborn County a considerable amount of expense. He got a federal contract with ICE when the number of prisoners being held were declining, and the county was in debt to pay for the new jail. From what he’s told me, the ICE contract has grossed over $2.8 million in income from ICE detainees since June of 2009. Also, that no other county has been able to get an ICE contract. He said the jail is full, and is helping pay off the debt for the new jail building. This is just one of the things he’s done for Freeborn County and deserves to be reelected for another term.
