Kiester for the Cure recently donated the proceeds from their February bowling tournament to Naeve Health Care Foundation’s Project Pink. The donation was for $12,000. Kiester for a Cure was established three years ago. Money raised the first year was sent to the Susan G. Komen fund of Minnesota; since then the group has decided to keep the donation local. Project Pink is NHCF’s fundraising endeavor to help Albert Lea Medical Center purchase state-of-the-art full-field digital mammography equipment, considered the latest technology in breast cancer prevention and treatment. NHCF not only donated half of the funds for the equipment, but challenged the community to match their donation through gifts to Project Pink.
