This is the first time that I have felt so strongly about getting out and voting for a candidate for sheriff. I have a cousin who works with the Freeborn County sheriff’s K-9 Unit. At first I showed my support for Mr. Bob Kindler because of this reason, and this reason only.

I then started watching the debates, and I gained an interest in trying to decide who would be a better sheriff for our county.

I became more informed with reading the Albert Lea Tribune articles and listening to the debates on the television and reading the letters to the editors.

I now have others reasons why I want to support Mr. Kindler. We need a sheriff who we can depend on to keep us safe and to support us when we need assistance. We need a sheriff who will give positive feedback instead of threatening days off without pay. We need a sheriff who is in charge of his deputies and listens to ideas on how to improve and make better decisions.

I encourage each individual to get out on election day and vote for the sheriff that you would like to be in charge of a very “special” team of deputies. You know whom I will be voting for!
