Lake Mills beats Nashua-Plainfield

LAKE MILLS, Iowa — The Lake Mills football team looked to end a two game losing streak on Friday night as it hosted Nashua-Plainfield.
Tyler Rice rushed for three touchdowns as the Bulldogs rolled to 245 yards of total rushing to defeat the Huskies 31-10.
Rice had touchdown runs of eight, two and 11 yards for Lake Mills (3-4 overall).
Alex Grunhovd led the Bulldogs with eight carries for 79 yards, Rice had 12 carries for 63 yards.
Quarterback Royce Byrnes also went 8-of-16 for 130 yards and two touchdowns for Lake Mills.
Byrnes also rushed seven times for 33 yards.
Charlie Arneson had one reception for 35 yards and a touchdown, while Dylan Davis also had one receptions for 13 yards and a touchdown.
The Bulldogs offense scored 31 points in the first half and the Lake Mills defense made sure that would be enough.
After giving up 82 points the past two games, the Lake Mills defense stepped up and allowed only 10 points on the night and had an interception.
Lake Mills is back in action next Friday at West Fork.
