Counterfeit bill reported
The Albert Lea Police Department responded to a call on Sunday at 12:56 p.m. at 2610 Bridge Ave. that someone used a counterfeit $20 bill to pay. The bill was seized and placed in evidence. No citations were issued and a report was filed.
Intoxicated person
Today at 1:21 a.m., Albert Lea police responded to a report of an intoxicated person at 1318 E. Main St. in Albert Lea. Myron Loren Rufshus was transported to Fountain Lake Treatment Center. No report was filed.
Woman assaulted
The Freeborn County Sheriff’s Office responded to an assault report on Friday at 3:52 a.m. A female at 101 E. Amsterdam Ave. in Hollandale reported being assaulted by her brother. A report was filed and no arrests were made.
Fires reported
The Clarks Grove Fire Department responded to a combine fire at County Road 45 and County Road 23 at 2:59 p.m. on Friday. The Freeborn County Sheriff’s Office reported minimal damages.
The Freeborn County Sheriff’s Office responded to a grain truck fire at 6:12 p.m. Saturday at 88392 170th St. in Austin.
Fighting reported
The Freeborn County Sheriff’s Office responded to a call Friday at 8:38 p.m. at 80880 Co. Road 46. It was reported that two males got into a fight. One was on the floor with unknown injuries, the other had a bleeding hand. No arrests were made and a report was filed.
The Freeborn County Sheriff’s Office reponded to a report of fighting Sunday at 1:03 a.m. at 331 Main St. West in Glenville. Vincente Ramon Martinez was arrested and transported to the Freeborn County Jail.
Burglaries in A.L.
The Freeborn County Sheriff’s Office responded to a burglary call at 23916 700 Ave., Albert Lea on Saturday at 4:01 p.m. A broken window was reported and report was filed.
Albert Lea Police responded to a burglary report Friday at 5:59 p.m. at 206 North Lane, Albert Lea. A laptop was reportedly stolen. A report was filed.
Disorderly conduct
The Freeborn County Sheriff’s Office responded to a call for disorderly conduct Saturday at 9:05 p.m. Saturday at 80880 Co. Road 46, Albert Lea. A 17-year-old male was reportedly out of control. The juvenile was charged with disorderly conduct and a report was filed.
