Men put their jobs on the line

It is not easy to run for a political position when your boss is an incumbent running as well. Probably that is why we have so many uncontested positions, i.e., county positions. It would be difficult to lay out what you know to be problems with your “boss” sitting next to you. What happens to your job if he wins? We had several men who put themselves in this position before the primary.
We know there are problems within the Sheriff’s Office when so many law enforcement candidates have acknowledged problems and when the Minnesota Teamsters Public and Law Enforcement Employees Union Local 320, which represents Freeborn County Sheriff’s Office correction officers, licensed patrol deputies and jail sergeants, endorsed Bob Kindler.
We attended the forum on the sheriff candidates last week. It was a good opportunity to hear them address the issues in person. Bob Kindler is very knowledgeable, informed, articulate and personable. He is a “cool” head with good ideas regarding some changes needed within the Sheriff’s Office. I will vote for Bob Kindler.
Thank you to all of the candidates running for public office. We need you, and it is not easy to do what you are doing.
