The Ladies Aid of Our Savior’s Lutheran Church of Albert Lea met in Luther Hall on Oct 14. Hostesses were Marcie Severson and Marilyn Olson.

Vicar James Kassera conducted the hymn study. Members joined in singing, “We Now Implore God The Holy Ghost” and closed with the Lord’s Prayer.

President Maren Ring presided over the business meeting. She thanked all who helped with the funeral, the Mission Festival dinner and the bazaar. A special appreciation was extended to the events committee.

Thank you notes were read from Chuck Lee, the Evangelical Lutheran Synod for the $200 donation and the Bethany Lutheran College Auxiliary for the $200 donation.

The Women’s Missionary meetings will be held in Thompson, Iowa, on Oct. 16 and in Tracy on Oct. 23.

The offering from the Mission Festival dinner of $106 will be increased to $200 and sent to the Chili Missions.

A motion was made and carried to donate to Bethany Seminary Emergency Fund, $300; Women’s Missionary Cross-Stitch, $200; Thoughts of Faith, $200; India Missions, $200; and Our Saviors Lutheran Scholarship Fund, $100.

The following motions were made and carried:

1. Pay the amount due on the Lift Service contract for one year.

2. Pay for the shoveling and salt used for the coming winter.

A letter has been received from the St. Peter Regional Treatment Center enclosing a list of items most needed as Christmas gifts for their residents.

A motion was made and carried to have the Christmas potluck dinner at noon on Jan. 13, 2011.
