3 cars collide on Bridge Ave.

Law Enforcement

A three-car crash was reported at the intersection of Bridge Avenue and Hammer Road at 1:28 p.m. Monday, according to police reports. Police stated one woman was transported to Albert Lea Medical Center by private vehicle.

The crash took place after one driver rear-ended another car, which in turn rear-ended a third car.

Anhydrous gas taken

Theft of anyhdrous gas was reported on the north side of the road, 300 feet west of U.S. Highway 69 near the intersection of State Line Road and Highway 69 at 5:09 p.m. Monday, according to Freeborn County Sheriff’s Office reports.

Fire reported

A fire was reported at a residence at 154 W. Second Ave. in Alden at 3:46 p.m. Sunday. The Alden, Conger and Freeborn fire departments all responded.

The extent of the damages are unknown as of press time; however, there did not appear to be any external damages present. The fire appeared to have been contained to the inside of the house and started in the ceiling between the first floor and floor of the attic.

Firefighters were called back Monday because it was still smoldering.

Vehicle damaged, items stolen

More than $3,000 in theft and damages were reported to a vehicle at 203 E. Seventh St. at 1:56 p.m. Monday, according to police reports.
