Leo Carey Unit 56 held its November meeting at the Legion Club rooms on Monday, Nov. 1. President Janet Schurb presided. The usual opening ceremonies were held.

Secretary Vonnie Oftadahl gave her report, and Rita Andersen gave the treasurer’s report.

Americanism chairman Pat Johannsen reminded everyone to vote and about Veterans Day on Nov. 11.

Audrey Johannsen told about her recent trip to Washington, D.C.

Donations were made to the community Hospice tree in memory of our deceased members.

A donation was given to Post 56 to assist with the purchase of a new refrigerator.

Initation by unit past presidents was held for new members Audrey Johannsen and Franne Camerer.

Lunch was served by Dorothy Snider and Isy Lee.

The next meeting will be Dec. 6.
