The Retired Educators of the Albert Lea Area will meet at noon Thursday at America’s Best Value Inn. Verlys Huntley, chairman of the board of directors for the Farmers Market will speak. Huntley is an avid gardener and vendor at the Farmers Market since 1991. She will speak of her experiences, the growth of interest in eating local produce, and her vision for the Farmers Market. Pat Stumme, RSVP director, will also tell of her need for volunteers to serve as reading partners. All retired school personnel are welcome to attend.
