Roman Ramos, 70, Albert Lea

Roman Garza Ramos, 70, died Monday, Nov. 1, 2010, at St. John’s Lutheran Nursing Home in Albert Lea.

Mr. Ramos was born in Alamo, Texas, to Irineo and Manuela Ramos. Roman lived his years in Hollandale, Pearland, Texas, and San Juan, Texas.

Mr. Ramos is survived by two daughters: Mary Armstrong (fiancee, Larry Crawford) and Victoria (Jim) Manges, all of Albert Lea; eight grandchildren: Eileen, Jack, Roxanne, Jessica, Elizabeth, Amber Armstrong, Henry and Wyatt Manges; and eight great-granchildren all of Albert Lea; five brothers: Jesus (Clementina) Ramos, Albert Ramos, Irineo Ramos, Jr., all of San Juan, Texas, Joe Ramos of McAllen, Texas, Francisco Ramos of Lewisville, Kent.; and four sisters: Guadalupe (Joe) Esparza of Premont, Texas, Irene Ramos, Petra Ramos, both of San Juan, Texas, and Noemi (Robert) Rivera of Donna, Texas.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Irineo and Manuela Ramos of San Juan, Texas, and a sister, Maria De La Luz Gomez.

Visitation will be held from 5 to 9 p.m. with a 7 p.m. rosary Thursday at Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan, Texas. A funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Friday at St. John the Baptist Catholic Parish in San Juan. Interment will follow at San Juan Cemetery.

Funeral services are under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home in San Juan, Texas.
