Wa-tan-ye Club

The Wa-tan-ye Club met on Nov. 1. The meeting was called to order. Roll call was taken. Secretary read the minutes and they were approved and placed on file. The treasurer gave her report which was approved and placed on file. Correspondence was read.
Annual reports were given for the program committee and secretary, and the auditors gave their report of approval for the treasurer records.
A report was given on the district convention. They approved the change of the district president’s term to two years instead of a one-year term.
The two new directors, Shiriey Chase and Joy McCune were installed. The other officers agreed to serve another year: Dorothy Wedge, president; Delores Weller, vice president; Joann Hosted, secretary; and Alice Peterson, treasurer. The two other directors serving one more year are Marie Quema and Sharon Jahnke.
They decided to decorate a Christmas tree at the Art Center again. They will meet at 12:30 p.m. on Nov. 23 to decorate the tree. They signed up for the Service Club Luncheon on Dec. 10.
Their next meeting will be on Dec. 6 which will be their Christmas party. Dorothy read the anniversary years of four members, which totaled 116 years. Dorothy was the hostess for the meeting.
