Cars crash with fog and slippery roads

Local law enforcement officers responded to several traffic crashes on Wednesday due to fog causing limited visibilities and slick roads. No injuries were reported in any of the following incidents.
Freeborn County Sheriff’s deputies were called to the intersection of 760th Avenue and 283rd Street, Clarks Grove, at 3:24 p.m. Wednesday. A car slid off the road and went into the ditch. Wayne’s Towing pulled the car out. Just down the road at 765th Avenue and 283rd Street, deputies came across another vehicle in the ditch at 3:26 p.m. Wednesday. The back end of the car was sticking out into the eastbound lane of traffic. The vehicle was towed and no report was filed.
Another vehicle in the ditch was reported to the Sheriff’s Office on County Road 46 at 660th Avenue at 3:33 p.m. Wednesday.
Sheriff’s deputies were called to 68168 County Road 46, Alden, at 8:05 p.m. Wednesday. A car was reported on its side.
Albert Lea police officers responded to a two-car traffic crash at West Main Street and South Highway 69 at 7:57 a.m. Wednesday. Names were exchanged but no report was filed.
Police were called to a two-car accident at Bridge Avenue and Marshall Street at 1:03 p.m. Wednesday. Very minor damages were reported.
Albert Lea police responded to a car in the ditch along State Line Road and 660th Avenue at 10:12 p.m. Wedesday. A red S10 went in the ditch on the north side of the road.
Fight at Legends Bar
Albert Lea police were called to Legends Bar at 721 Marshall St. at 11:10 p.m. Tuesday. Three people were reportedly fighting in the bar. No weapons were reported and the people allegedly went out the back door before officers arrived. Officers checked the area and no report was filed.
Car stolen
Albert Lea police responded to a vehicle theft report in City Lot 1 at 12:33 p.m. Wednesday. The vehicle was reportedly parked in the lot behind the Eagles Club for a short while, then missing. A report was filed.
Woman cited for shoplifting
Albert Lea police cited Heather Marie Krumrie for shoplifting at 7:22 p.m. Friday at Walmart.
Minors cited for consumption
Albert Lea police cited George Herbert Adams and Tyree Williams for minor consumption at 629 Ruble Ave. at 2:26 a.m. Saturday.
Credit card stolen
Credit card fraud was reported to Albert Lea police at 3016 Lake Chapeau Dr. at 12:44 p.m. Wednesday.
Wallet stolen
Albert Lea police responded to a theft report at 701 Lake Chapeau Dr. at 4:17 p.m. Wednesday. A billfold was reportedly taken from a car at City Arena. The police report also stated the thief then stole a car which was recovered in Missouri.
Windows shot
Criminal property damages were reported to Albert Lea police at 809 Minnesota Ave. at 6:01 p.m. Wednesday. It was reported that someone shot the house windows out with a BB gun. A report was filed.
Car windows smashed
Albert Lea police were called to a report of criminal property damage at 2440 Bridge Ave. at 7:06 p.m. Wednesday. Windows were reportedly smashed out of a 1993 Plymouth Voyager.
Red Cross blood mobile in January
There will be a Red Cross blood drive in January held at the National Guard Armory. The blood drive is open from noon to 6 p.m. Jan. 5, from 1 to 7 p.m. Jan. 6, and from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Jan. 7
